Ballard County had a Foundation for Healthy KY grant – Local Data for Local Health. As part of that, we formed the coalition after a community health needs assessment and reports back to the community in 5 town hall meetings. The name came from the community agreeing Ballard needed a new direction focusing on good health habits. When we designed the logo – COMPASS – A new healthy direction was decided upon. It symbolizes what a compass does – shows directions.
